The establishment is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a remarkable renovation. What were the main goals behind this transformation, and how do the changes reflect the resort’s evolving vision for guest experiences?
Hyatt has been honored to be part of Aruba and the destination for 35 wonderful years. We are proud of all the accomplishments achieved, with the support of all our Aruba partners, and above all, our loyal and dedicated professionals, many of whom have been with us since day one. Aruba is a unique and popular destination. The pride of Aruba is their people, who create memories to last through generations, its beautiful beaches, and warm, friendly weather. These attributes are as strong today as they were 35 years ago. Moreover, Aruba has experienced extensive growth, which comes with many changes and challenges. At the property, we are fortunate to face the future with a new owner. The resort’s vision is as committed as always to be a positive business influence in Aruba. We remain committed to offering the quality of product that tourists expect of the Aruba destination and also the larger Hyatt Regency brand. Our vision is in line with the improvements built around us, and we continue to be a luxury property for all to enjoy.
The updated culinary offerings, including the debut of Piccolo and the reimagined Ruinas del Mar, are receiving great attention. How does the resort’s food and beverage strategy play into its luxury hospitality concept?
The culinary experience has been years in the making. We strive to introduce Aruba to modern and healthy culinary trends, along with exciting beverage creations. We will delight our guests with some Mediterranean delicacies, as well as traditional Italian American cuisine, in our Palms and Ruinas Restaurants. Additionally, we are proud to be able to offer Kosher culinary delights for visitors who adhere to those guidelines. To elevate our gastronomic guest experience, we have partnered with the Giannis Group, a renowned Aruba restaurant operator, to ensure the best kosher experience in Aruba. We have also partnered with Reserve Cut New York, as well as Akimori Sushi, for a new offering in the making.
The casino remains a key component of the Hyatt Regency Aruba proposal. How does it integrate with the resort’s refreshed identity, and what role does gaming play in the overall entertainment service?
Our casino is well known in Aruba for its fun, relaxing, and trendy atmosphere. That will not change. We plan to continue to have the casino as an extension of the traditional Aruba vacation, offering a fun gaming experience, with modern design and great dealers. The casino experience is integrated as a key resort amenity for our guests to enjoy during their vacation.
Aruba continues to attract travelers seeking complete leisure and relaxation. In your view, what sets Hyatt Regency Aruba apart from other resorts on the island, particularly when it comes to entertainment and gaming?
The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa & Casino is proud to offer an authentic Caribbean Island vibe. Our grounds are gorgeous, creating a natural feel, in conjunction with our wonderful beach. Besides, our amazing gastronomical proposal, daily activities, and beautiful pools are just some of the services our guests look forward to. They also love our ZoiA Spa for the ultimate relaxation experience. When ready to explore Aruba, our guests simply step off our property and enjoy what Aruba offers right a step away from our doorstep.
What are your future plans for enhancing guests’ experiences?
Our vision is to create a luxury, first-class guest room experience. We are planning on generating a spa retreat, which will offer modern treatments and health-related experiences, with benefits that heal both the body and the mind. We strive to keep our casino experience at modern gaming levels, while providing the best table games players are looking for in today’s casino destinations.
