Georgi Izov (Amusnet). A decade of innovative products, dedication, partnerships, and a striving for growth

We interviewed the Head of Business Development for Latin America of this well-known supplier. He discussed the significant work undertaken to increase their presence in the region and the great response they have received since the launch of their Caramelo Sortudo slot game. Besides, he analyzed the evolving regulatory frameworks in different countries of the continent and announced the three pillars on which their future progress will be based.

The firm’s strategy is to maintain a balanced regional approach, supporting mature regulated markets while preparing for newly regulated ones. By doing so, they can ensure sustainable expansion across Latin America.

How would you evaluate the company’s performance in LatAm in 2025 and what projections do you have for 2026?

As Amusnet celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, the milestone marks a decade of innovation, growth, and strong partnerships across global markets. Over the past 10 years, the company has continuously expanded its footprint and strengthened its position in key regions worldwide, with Latin America emerging as one of the most dynamic and strategically important markets. In fact, 2025 proved to be a particularly strong year for Amusnet in Latin America, marked by significant expansion and important strategic milestones across the region. We continued to strengthen our footprint in key markets, including Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil, working closely with leading operators and delivering localized gaming experiences that resonate with regional audiences. Brazil, in particular, became a major focus for our growth strategy as the market moved toward regulation. In preparation for this transition, we secured certification for a large portion of our portfolio and expanded collaborations with leading operators to ensure our content is ready for the newly regulated environment. At the same time, we continued to increase our local teams across other LatAm markets, enabling us to better understand player preferences and respond quickly to regulatory developments. A great example of our localization approach is Caramelo Sortudo, the first slot developed specifically for the Brazilian market. What is particularly interesting is that, although the game was originally designed for Brazil, it is also gaining traction in other jurisdictions. Looking ahead to the rest of 2026, we see tremendous growth potential. Latin America remains one of the most dynamic iGaming regions globally. Our focus will remain on expanding partnerships, increasing the distribution of our content, and continuing to develop localized products that truly resonate with players across the region. We are also actively strengthening our presence in multiple verticals. This includes further expanding our Live Casino portfolio in Latin America, while also enlarging the number of installations of our premium slot cabinets and popular game mixes in the land-based sector, where we see strong interest from operators throughout the region. For example, in Colombia, we are deploying our latest models and game portfolio across key cities’ locations following regulatory approval. New installations are also scheduled in Peru very shortly. I want to specifically emphasize that our AMUSEBOX multigame, supported by the robust AMUSER platform integrated into each slot cabinet, delivers the same level of quality and performance that operators associate with our online portfolio to the land-based environment. We are continuously enhancing these solutions, with the long-term goal of offering fully integrated omnichannel experiences that help our partners drive stronger player engagement, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.

There’s no doubt that the company has been doing an excellent job of localizing its products for Latin America. You mentioned the success of the title Caramelo Sortudo in Brazil and across the region. What do you attribute to its great reception?

As mentioned above, Caramelo Sortudo was developed specifically for the Brazilian market and is inspired by the famous caramelo street dog, a beloved cultural icon that instantly resonates with local players. Beyond the theme, the game was designed to deliver a fun and engaging experience through its compact 3×3 format with Reel Ways Pay mechanics, the Grilled Chicken Bonus, and our signature Jackpot Cards, which adds an extra layer of excitement. The reception has been outstanding. Shortly after its release, the game surpassed three million rounds played, confirming the strong connection players feel with culturally relevant content. Interestingly, while Caramelo Sortudo was created with Brazil in mind, it has also started gaining traction in other jurisdictions. Operators appreciate its recognizable concept and the flexibility we offer for branding and marketing campaigns with it, allowing them to adapt the experience to their audiences while maintaining the game’s distinctive identity. For us, this success reinforces the importance of combining local cultural inspiration with strong gameplay mechanics. When you truly understand player preferences in each market, you can create games that feel authentic and deliver a much deeper level of engagement.

Considering regulatory developments, which Latin American markets do you see as most promising this year, and in which will the company invest the most to keep on growing?

Latin America is evolving rapidly in regulatory terms, creating exciting opportunities for suppliers like us. Brazil is clearly one of the most anticipated regulated markets globally, and we are very optimistic about its long-term potential. We are already investing heavily in localized content, partnerships, and certifications to ensure our products are fully adapted to this environment. At the same time, markets such as Colombia and Peru continue to demonstrate stability and growth, while Mexico and Argentina remain key strategic territories due to their large player bases and strong operator ecosystems. Our strategy is to maintain a balanced regional approach, supporting mature regulated markets while preparing for newly regulated ones. By doing so, we can ensure sustainable expansion across Latin America.

Upcoming FIFA World Cup will undoubtedly generate an increase in sports betting, but it will also see more people visiting online casinos. What products does Amusnet Interactive plan to launch in the coming months to at-tract these types of sporty players, including younger users who always seek quality, innovation, and guaranteed entertainment?

Major sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup always create an additional boost for the entire online gaming ecosystem. With this in mind, we are actively expanding and tailoring our portfolio to meet the increased demand for World Cup–aligned content, developing dynamic and engaging products that resonate with both traditional casino players and new audiences. In parallel, we are preparing a range of dedicated initiatives and promotional campaigns for our operator partners across LatAm, offering engaging experiences and the opportunity for attractive prizes.

The company celebrated its 10th anniversary and is beginning its second decade investing in development, localization, and strategic partnerships. Looking ahead, how will it continue to strengthen its position as a trusted provider for operators in regulated markets?

Celebrating our 10th anniversary is an important milestone and an opportunity to reflect on what has driven our success: dedication, strong partnerships, and a striving for growth. As we enter our second decade, our strategy is centered on three key pillars. First, continuous product development across our online casino, live casino, and land-based verticals. Second, deep localization, ensuring our games are culturally relevant and adapted to each specific market. Third, strengthening our relationships with operators and regulators in regulated jurisdictions. We also continue to invest in compliance, certification, and technical infrastructure so that our products meet the highest regulatory standards. Ultimately, our objective is to remain a reliable and forward-thinking partner to operators, providing engaging content and solutions that help them grow in competitive, regulated markets.
