ICGR prepares key seminars and summit for August and September

Next academic session of the International Center for Gaming Regulation, UNLV (United States), ‘Understanding iGaming: Regulations, Operations & Marketplace,’ will be offered on August 9-10th. In addition, GRIPS stands out. This onsite assembly in Vegas (September 11-16th) is an exclusive one-week educational meeting focused on current gaming regulatory policy, methodology and leadership.

The seminar is part of UNLV ICGR’s iGaming Track. Attendees will leave with both strategic understanding as well as applicable practices for operating in -or regulating- the iGaming environment.

The iGaming ecosystem in the United States presents many opportunities and challenges. In order to better understand the legal framework and the players in the marketplace, to know about products and jurisdictions, and consider social-ethical concerns, the International Center for Gaming Regulation, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (U.S.) is offering to the gaming community a two-day online seminar program: Understanding iGaming: Regulations, Operations & Marketplace. Registration is available here.

This relevant program will run next week at 8:00-11:30 AM PT on Tuesday, August 9th, and Wednesday, August 10th. Led by experts in the iGaming field, attendees of this program will leave with both strategic understanding as well as applicable practices for operating in (or regulating) the iGaming environment.

Some of the education partners that will participate on this session are the following: Cassie Brickman (Managing Director, Betting Hero); Gregory Gemignani (Attorney, Law Firm of Dickinson Wright); Rebecca Giden (Director of Policy, Eilers and Krejcik Gaming); Bruce Dall (President, MotorCity Hotel & Casino); Melanie Gross (Senior iGaming Executive); Jason Lim (General Manager Online, Ainsworth Interactive); Alan Feldman (Distinguished Fellow in Responsible Gaming, International Gaming Institute), and Rick Kalm (Former Executive Director, Michigan Gaming Control Board).

This is the agenda of the seminar:

Day 1 August 9th, 2022: Welcome & Introduction; iGaming Definitions & Laws & Regulation Overview; Comparative State Analysis & Tax and Regulatory Structure; Policy Projections: Near-Term Candidates for iGaming Expansion; Current and Future Market Sizing of the U.S. iGaming Opportunity; Affiliate Ecosystems: How Do They Work? and Retail Demand Substitution.

Day 2 August 10th, 2022: iGaming Operations; iGaming Product Review; Social & Ethical Considerations; Michigan: Lessons Learned, and Program Closing.

OTHER ICGR ACTIVITIES

A top tier 2.0 research institution, the International Center for Gaming Regulation of the UNLV is also preparing other seminars, such as Casino & Gaming Internal Controls (August 17th), and Global Trends in AML Regulation, Enforcement and Illegal Gambling (August 24th). Besides, in September, there will be a very interesting summit. The Gaming Regulation International Policy Summit (GRIPS) will occur from September 11th to 16th.

This is a product of the experts at the ICGR. GRIPS offers a week of unparalleled content, skilled practitioners with current gaming world experience, and leaders from the field. This event includes a complete agenda of activities.
