Some experts who participated in the meeting stated that Esports, AI, AR, VR, and robotics can be game changers for land-based casinos.

The Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada (United States), received hundreds of executives that wanted to know more about convergence between gambling and gaming. During two days, the Casino Esport Conference, very well organized by Benjamin Fox and Arieh Fox, deeply analyzed the future of the casino industry.

With a constantly changing iGaming regulatory landscape, in the U.S. and abroad, this meeting helped attendees to better understand how Esports and other innovative entertainment possibilities are opening up the doors of opportunity for casinos and other venues looking to implement new and exciting features for a hard to reach young demographic.

Interesting conferences were followed live by attendants. On March 23rd, main topics were: current state of Esports; casino/iGaming regulatory updates on Esports and video gaming; cryptocurrencies in Esports and Video Gaming; gaming monetization; tabletop games; responsible gaming; and colleges and Esports. The second day, March 24th, addressed subjects such as marketing to younger demographics; metaverse impact on land-based casinos and online platforms; VR/AR and mix reality; collaboration gap between video gaming publishers and the gambling industry; how to connect online Esports to land-based properties; casinos and NFTs; and payment systems.

There were also outstanding speakers. On the first day, Saverio R. Scheri III (COO, Agua Caliente Casinos) offered a keynote on casinos’ incorporation of new technologies. Other valuable panelists were Robert Rippee (UNLV Black Fire Innovation Hub); Robert Heller (Spectrum Gaming Capital); Dr. Laila Mintas (consultant); Mike Darley (Next Gaming, LLC); Seth Schorr (Fifth Street Gaming); Michael Kilpatrick Morton and Philip Katsaros (Nevada Gaming Control Board); Martin Lycka (Entain); Oliver Lovat (consultant); Frank Ng (Allied Esports); Amir Mirzaee (Bayes Esports); George J. Chanos (former Attorney General of Nevada); Ron Segev (Segev LLP); Anthony Strangia (New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement), and so much more.

In short, it was an original event that seeks to accelerate the changes that are already taking place in the gaming industry and that force operators to think about new potential customers and how to engage and attract them with immersive entertainment proposals that respond to their interests.
