Over the past 12 years, Chambers accomplished increasing the number of ICE attendees from 12,000 to 35,000 people. She assures: “Most of my work was behind the scenes; connecting with those people in the industry who make the real decisions.” Also, she says that one of her goals was to serve brands, C level operators and suppliers the right way. Currently, she is all about Fulwood Media and other projects that will be launched.
“Once in the gaming industry it is hard to let go.” After working many different sectors, Chambers found in gaming a different kind of commitment and passion. Fulwood Media Maganing Director describes working in this sector as spectacularly rewarding. Although, points out that standards are high and you are expected to work hard and do your very best every day. As a passionate hard taskmaster herself she always supports her team and encourage them to go the extra mile.
EQUALITY, EQUITI AND DIVERSITY IN THE INDUSTRY
The analysis made by Kate contemplates that having a diverse group of workers adds something for the better to a company, Women bring something to the table that is different to men and is equally valuable. Her thoughts are that men and women should be paid the same and get the same opportunities as men, but corporate world conditions not always align with this. Her advice to give is to set sights on a goal and then have an action plan to achieve it. Rising herself a corporate ladder, she tried many jobs persuingher ideal one in a company where she was treated respectfully: “Don’t give up, keep to your plan and star true to yourself. At some point you will find the role and the company for you”
TWO TRUE PASSIONS
As a very busy and hard-working woman, Chambers shares how important family support can be when you are running new businesses. Regarding workplace, she is considered as a mother model, considering her team a family as well, reflecting how well she knows everyone she works with. “The key is to stick together with cooperation and hard work no matter how good or bad conditions can be” she says.
LEADERSHIP ROLES IN GAMING
Fulwood Media is on top of Chamber’s list at the moment, her new company which is launching her own business The Gaming Boardroom. It is being developed for gaming CEOs and their leadership teams, as a source of intelligence for and about the leadership roles in gaming, providing ideas, strategies and tactics in order to build more effective organizations. “It conveys the full range of the leadership experience: the corporate challenges, as well as the personal pressures and satisfactions that come with one of the most demanding jobs in gaming, and this has been a passion of mine for some time” It will be slightly different than other gaming news, Chambers’goal of making business of gaming better can be accomplished with this project, as it will add value to the industry and make people in the industry able to share their thoughts and experiences.
