Praised for its high-quality content, the iGaming Podcast series provided a prominent space for the participation of Rasmus Kjaergaard, CEO at Mindway AI.
The award-winning software of this renowned supplier is built on insights from neuroscience, AI and gambling experts’ evaluations of several thousand gambling patterns. This unique synergy of science, tech, data, and human analysis creates a state-of-the-art solution adding a real human touch to their fully automated technology.
In a conversation of just over 14 minutes, the leader explained how their technology works in practical terms and what it can offer to operators.
Below, we summarize some of the main ideas shared by the executive during this video interview:
MINDWAY AI’S CORE MISSION AND VALUES
“We are a provider in the space of responsible gambling and player protection. We develop sophisticated solutions, which is actually the DNA we were founded on. We use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuroscience to create innovative products to find at-risk and problem gamblers. Our core mission is to enhance player protection in the gambling industry”
THE ROLE OF NEUROSCIENCE IN IDENTIFYING AT-RISK GAMBLERS
“The role neuroscience play is on the AI solution we have, called Game Scanner. We use skilled psychologists with experience in responsible gambling (RG) treatment to train algorithms and to clarify this individual human behavior called at risk or problem gambling. We also have another solution, Gamalyze, which is a neuroscience theory self-test where we ask the player to flip 80 cards from four pre-shuffle decks. That takes roughly two or three minutes and after the game is played, we ask the player to self-evaluate. Then the solution shows a report based on very easy understandable speedometers about how the gambling behavior was identified”
FUTURE IMPACT OF AI ON GAMBLING
“I’m not necessarily sure that we can actually realize by now the changes that can take place within the next five years. I definitely see a lot of ways that we can utilize new technological trends to support our mission and vision of earlier detection. In a wider sense, when we talk about the gambling industry, as in all other sectors, we will use AI to work in a smarter way, not harder, and that it will be applied everywhere like in revenues, marketing or operations”
