During a solid career in hospitality and events sectors, working across Europe, traveling a lot, Marco Rother always knew he had inside a truly fascination for the gambling industry. Each time he arrived to a city and was aware a casino was installed there, he visited it. When over four years ago, he heard the Casino Admiral Seville was searching for a Commercial and Marketing Director, he was sure that was an opportunity he couldn’t miss, so he finally was chosen to join the company (Novomatic Group). Now, as a Regional Commercial Director at Casino Admiral, when he takes a look back, he described this period of time as “interesting, exciting and intense.”
Of course, beyond his personal feelings, there have been four years of huge growth for the company. Prior to his arrival, the firm had acquired the Casino San Roque, in Cadiz, Spain. Then there was a renovation and reopening of the venue in Seville, as well as the Sunborn Casino Admiral in Gibraltar. They also opened an exclusive, 4-star hotel in San Roque, more than 30 gaming arcades, and the Casino Admiral Granada.
About next G&M News European Summit, that will take place in Casino Admiral San Roque in April 5-6th, he highlighted that the huge size of the venue, with a conference room for over 500 executives, will be a very safe place regarding pandemic protocols, with close to 150 operators and providers finally attending the meeting on the second day. In this sense, operators will be able to attend with no charge after completing a brief online form. Confirmation will be received once the request has been reviewed. On the other hand, providers have a list of options to access the event, either through daily passes or sponsorship.

In relation to how gaming rooms of the Casino Admiral brand are located in a commercial and touristic hub, Rother states: “Costa del Sol is an extremely beautiful area: we have the sea, incredible golf courses and amazing hotels. The tourism industry offers a lot to us in terms of visitors, and I think there is still a lot of space for growth. Besides, connections are great, since it’s a zone situated two hours from Seville, one hour from the Malaga airport, just 20 minutes from Gibraltar, and also even close from Lisbon.”
