Behind every great company is an interesting story worth telling. What was the seed of Cubeia, and how did your vision transform from a project into a reality, one that is gaining increasing recognition in the industry?
Cubeia was founded in 2007, long before I joined, so the groundwork was already laid. In this sense, Cubeia began with a vision to build multiplayer products for the iGaming industry, a vision we still honor today through our Cubeia Poker product. In 2019, we decided to develop a casino platform with native support for crypto currencies that also takes advantage of a modern approach to technology and UX. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re just getting started. Our success comes not only from building our own platform vision, but also from working closely with our clients to bring their visions to life.
Speaking of recognition, your company won the ‘Best Crypto Casino Platform’ category at the SiGMA Americas Awards. What does this prize mean to you and your team?
It means a lot, of course. We are new to the LatAm market, so the timing is great. Our current clients are in Europe and Asia and we’re now expanding into Latin America, including establishing a regional base in Costa Rica to better serve the local time zones and languages. This award represents true recognition for the work and the long hours the entire team puts into this company and this platform to serve our clients and build a premium full suite platform. It also shows that we are on the right path. It is an honor!
The company was an exhibitor at the BiS SiGMA Americas event. Were your expectations met, and what proposals did Cubeia present to clients, partners, and interested parties?
Yes. It was a great show for us. Our successful presence in Brazil was part of an expanding plan into the region, including the recent hiring of a Head of LatAm Operations, and a Head of LatAm Sales. Both have an excellent network and also helped us secure key partnerships with LatAm specific suppliers. Still, we stick to our customer promise: every client will get the attention they deserve! This means we set a limit on how many active clients we work with at any given time. In terms of competition, I see Brazilian operators are under lots of pressure. Many other Cubeia’s key people and even I have run casinos on different platforms, so we know it is extremely hard getting attention if you are not among the top three operators. We seriously want to change that concept. We are a premier platform provider that goes the extra mile for our clients. With a proven track record helping operators launch high-growth brands in other regions, we believe we’re well-positioned to become a serious player in the LatAm market.
Based on your experience and market analysis, how will crypto casinos evolve in Latin America over the next three years, and in which way will Cubeia leverage this opportunity to continue growing your business there?
The future of crypto casinos in LatAm looks promising, driven by increasing Internet penetration, a young and tech-savvy population, and growing interest in digital currencies. As traditional financial systems in parts of the region remain complex or inaccessible for many, cryptocurrencies offer a more inclusive and efficient alternative for online transactions. This makes crypto casinos particularly attractive, as they provide faster deposits and withdrawals, lower fees, and greater privacy for players. Looking ahead, the LatAm market is likely to see a surge in both player engagement and operator investment in crypto casinos. Countries like Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia are already showing significant interest in digital assets, and as regulation becomes clearer, more operators will enter the space with localized, crypto-friendly platforms. Innovation will be key. Features like provably fair games, web3 wallet integrations, token rewards will help differentiate brands and attract a loyal player base. Overall, crypto casinos are set to play a major role in shaping the next wave of iGaming growth in LatAm.
