Bruno Almeida (Atlaslive). Local presence and scalable technology to boost LatAm’s next growth phase

The Head of Sales for LatAm at the technology provider evaluated the company’s participation at ICE Barcelona 2026. He also considered the opportunities and regulatory evolution across Latin America and defined how strong partnerships and robust infrastructure are key to supporting operators during high-traffic global sporting events like the FIFA World Cup.

During the conversation, he mentioned that opening an office in São Paulo was a milestone, as it reinforced the brand’s commitment to the Brazilian market and brought them closer to their clients.

By Roman Frymer, editor at G&M News, with the collaboration of Ulises Gil, journalist at G&M News.

What was the firm’s strategy for ICE Barcelona 2026 and what solutions did present?

ICE Barcelona has been extremely productive for Atlaslive. It was an important opportunity to meet partners, clients, and media, and to showcase not only our technology, but also our vision for 2026. We’ve seen strong traffic at our stand and very positive conversations around what we’re building. Events like this allow us to demonstrate how our platform evolves and how we aim to grow alongside our partners, rather than simply offering a product.

Which Atlaslive solutions have generated the most interest during the event?

The sportsbook has been one of the most demanded solutions, along with our core platform. What resonates most with operators is our approach to partnership. We don’t position ourselves as just another white-label provider. We work closely with clients on the platform roadmap, defining which features need to be developed and how the product should be customized for each market. This level of collaboration allows operators to truly localize the platform for countries like Brazil, Argentina, or Mexico.

What opportunities do Latin America offer for the company, and how do you see the evolution of regulation across the region?

Latin America offers enormous potential, but it requires deep local understanding. Each country has its own culture, regulatory pace, and player behavior. That’s why we believe strongly in having teams on the ground. We already have offices in Brazil, and we’re expanding our presence in Mexico with local professionals who understand both the market and the players. This local insight allows us to adapt our solutions more effectively and align with each operator’s strategy.

After a year of regulated online gaming in Brazil, how do you assess the current situation of this key market?

Brazil has been a challenging but very valuable learning experience. Atlaslive was one of the first European companies to obtain certification to operate in the country, which gave us an early opportunity to understand the regulatory framework and its evolution. Throughout the year, we worked closely with operators to adapt flows, especially around compliance and player verification, reducing friction and improving retention and conversion rates. Today, the market is more mature. While regulations will continue to evolve, we now clearly understand the rules and how to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions. We expect thid year to be even stronger.

With major global sporting events driving traffic peaks, how do Atlaslive’s tools help operators scale during high-demand periods?

There are two critical elements. First, have a high-quality sportsbook with reliable feeds, extensive markets, and strong promotional and engagement tools. Second, have a robust infrastructure capable of handling massive traffic spikes without downtime. Major events like the World Cup can be a huge opportunity, but also a risk if the platform isn’t prepared. That’s why operators need a partner with proven infrastructure, a strong technical team, and local support to ensure stability during these peak moments.

What are Atlaslive’s growth expectations for Brazil and Latin America in 2026 and beyond?

Our growth strategy is closely tied to local presence and long-term partnerships. Opening our office in São Paulo (Brazil) was a key milestone, as it reinforced our commitment to the Brazilian market and brought us closer to our clients. This proximity builds trust and accelerates growth. At the same time, we’re developing new products and verticals, which allows us to attract new opportunities and clients across the region. The outlook for 2026 and beyond is very positive, and we’re confident in our ability to expand faster and smarter alongside our partners.
